Nordgold says gold output falls 1% to 764,500 ounces in Jan–Sep
MOSCOW, Nov 24 (PRIME) -- The gold production of Nordgold, controlled by Russian tycoon Alexei Mordashov, decreased by 1% on the year to 764,500 ounces in January–September on the back of scheduled fall at the Gross, Taparko, and Suzdal mines, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The decrease was compensated by higher output at the Bissa-Bouly, Taborny, and Irokinda mines.
The average sale price of gold went up by 3% to U.S. $1,791 per ounce.
